Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, announced that the Zapad (West) group of forces is advancing on a wide front within its scope of responsibility in the special military operation zone in Ukraine.
He pointed out that during the past week, Russian forces achieved tangible progress in the direction of Volchansk, and significantly expanded their area of control in that sector.
