The first judge of the Second Karkh Investigation Court said in a statement that the court was able to recover the amount of one billion and 143 million and 847 thousand and 719 Iraqi dinars, an amount equivalent to one million dollars, which represents “the proceeds of a financial fraud crime.”
In a separate case, the judge revealed new developments in the investigations of the arrested accused Adnan Al-Jumaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Liquidation Affairs, noting that the authorities were able to seize 13 billion Iraqi dinars, in addition to 400 thousand US dollars, which were hidden in several locations in Salah al-Din Governorate.
