Kuwait announced today, Saturday, that a second station for generating electricity and water distillation was subjected to an Iranian attack, causing a fire to break out there, while Kuwait Airways announced the rescheduling of most of its flights following the Iranian attacks.
The Iranian attack led to the disconnection of a number of generating units, a day after an Iranian attack on another power station, which also caused a fire and damage to the station.
The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said in a statement, “In light of the sinful Iranian attack on the State of Kuwait, another electrical power and water distillation station was subjected to a hostile attack that resulted in a fire breaking out in one of the components of the station, which necessitated taking precautionary operational measures, which consisted of disconnecting a number of generating units, in order to preserve the safety of the station and its workers, and to ensure the stability of the electrical system.”
On the other hand, and on the same level, Kuwait Airways announced today, Saturday, the rescheduling of most of its flights after temporarily stopping takeoffs and landings at Kuwait International Airport following Iranian attacks with missiles and drones.
The company had previously stated that the rescheduling of flights came as a result of the closure of Kuwaiti airspace.
The Kuwaiti army announced, earlier on Saturday morning, that it was "now underway" to confront missiles and drones launched from Iran.
