The Iranian Revolutionary Guard cited a Qur’anic verse affirming the principle of reciprocal response, warning that any attack on Iran will be met with a response of the same force.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard went on to issue a warning to neighboring Gulf states, saying that, therefore, “countries that host the occupying American forces, and that have placed their territories at the disposal of these invading criminals to launch attacks against Iran, should be prepared to receive a similar response.”

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said, according to what was reported by the official Iranian Broadcasting Corporation (IRIB), that “given the absence of an international institution that prevents the brutality of the American army, we have no choice but to comply with the Qur’anic command: (So whoever attacks you, attack him in the same way as he attacked you).”
